Milky Way Arms are around half way in their 2 week tour, I just spoke to Tim “Jim” Jones “Tones” who said They are both in good spirits and rocking nearly nightly
The tour is going well , they have met some amazing people and are grateful for the people who have helped along their journey. Multiple reviews have been rolling in and much love has come from many of the places they have played as well as some other cities that have been showing support with airplay and promotion. Last night was New York at the Club Midway show with lost boy, and tonight Pittsburgh at the smiling moose. The nightly shows have had some ups and downs. Tim uses the reference “strikes and gutters” and we can’t wait to hear all the juicy details when they get back to H-town.

we are immensely grateful for the support of the austin folk and friends who hosted us during SXSW. Blackfield Asylum played at Spirros on opening night, March 12th. So many people helped us out while we were there, we could not have done it without you. We hope to play another show for yall sometime in the future, but for now we will be working on the ARMFAR compilation album, which will be have a pre-release on Monday, at Walters on Washington during the Separated at Birth show, which will also feature The Baristas, Dim Hearted and some of the members of Blackfield Asylum performing.  The cd features 12 tracks from various projects that are associated with Armfar, and it was mixed by B-side from Separated at Birth, and other projects. See you monday night for the weekend extension show.

Today I read that the milky way galaxy is twice the size of what was previously thought. Which is interesting, in light of the fact that tonight tonight, Milky Way Arms is spiraling a show at NOTSUOH. There are some special guests at tonights performance, including a rare collaboration between Moochie Norris, Brian Wescanalli, and A-Crunch, from the much loved STOVE BLOW.

Peekaboo

ARMFAR is happy to announce the near completion of the artwork for Peekaboo Theory’s new album “sy-3nce -&- pr()gram2″. Keep an eye out for this great group, they have been playing many shows throughout Houston. The album release is imminent, and they will be having a release show at an as yet undisclosed location. We will post the info as it is unleashed.

Besides that, Bside and Subjekt Abnormal are collaborating on an upcoming release. Subjekt is one of many mcs that are slated to collaborate with Bside this year. B-side has many things planned for 2008, Bside works like crazy then gets home and works like crazy.
